What is EFT?

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), otherwise known as tapping is a very effective, clinically proven, set of scientific techniques used to reduce cortisol and calm the nervous system.

EFT targets the body’s primo vascular system and combines elements of exposure, and cognitive therapy with somatic stimulation. It involves gently tapping on specific acupressure meridians on the upper body, face and hands, while focusing on an issue or problem you would like to address, along with an acceptance statement.

It’s cognitive, because you place awareness on your thoughts to expose and confront memories, feelings and situations that you are wanting to overcome. It’s somatic because you are tapping acupressure points on the body whilst working with the feelings and sensations in the body.

Developed by Gary Craig in 1995, EFT has been researched in more than 20 countries, by more than 60 investigators, whose results have been published in over 100 different journal articles. This research has shown EFT tapping to be effective for stress, physical discomfort, fears, PTSD, phobias, cravings and more.

When guided by a Certified EFT Practitioner, EFT is simple to learn. Once you master the basic techniques and know how to apply them, tapping can be used as a self-help tool in your everyday life.

I personally found EFT Tapping to be a key piece of the puzzle for stress release, personal growth and healing. It often works where nothing else will, and will allow you to bring freedom into your life where you thought none was possible.

“Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I’d find myself at rock bottom, my emotional being empty and unable to see past the darkness I had been plunged into with my life upturned. I was introduced to EFT by Nat Vine and at first sceptical and disillusioned that I, my fingers, and a look into my mindset could be the first step to recovery. Nat was professional, kind, attentive and caring as she guided me through the techniques to find balance. It didn’t happen overnight, but with Nat’s extensive knowledge and calm approach to support me I was soon able to use EFT independently and find my balance, my anxiety levels lowered, and I had a tool in the palm of my hand and support at the end of a phone call. I would totally recommend Nat Vine @ Divine EFT to help you find you

I have recently had the pleasure of working with Nat from Divine EFT. Nat is a gentle and professional EFT Practitioner with an understanding of the issues women face in our professional and personal lives. I have had many and varied counselling sessions over the years and have often been left feeling raw and vulnerable at the end of a session. With Nat from Divine EFT, I can honestly say that I walk away feeling more whole and complete. Nat answers my many questions I have about EFT, and I now have a knowledge about the process, so I can use this self-help tool at home independently, then visit her to work through the ‘big stuff’. I highly recommend Nat as an EFT Practitioner and EFT as a way to heal and grow.”
